About Monica Rutherford

Monica has lived in San Luis Obispo since 2015 when she moved to attend Cal Poly as a Liberal Studies/Education student. During part of undergrad, she worked as a Park Aide at the Morro Bay State Park and Morro Strand State Beach campgrounds. After graduating, she continued her CA State Park career as a Park Interpretive Specialist for the San Luis Obispo Coast District. During the two years in this role she planned, developed, and led interpretive programs in parks as well as created interpretive media like pamphlets, panels, and videos. She has been working for CCSPA since March 2021 and loves her role as Community Outreach Manager. She loves exploring and appreciating all the beauty the Central Coast has to offer!
