We are thrilled to announce that on September 12th, 2026, we will be hosting our 7th annual Butterfly Ball! We look forward to continuing the success of last year’s event and further supporting our local State Parks and the western monarch butterfly. Join us for a night filled with dance and entertainment, informative presentations, dinner by Popolo, a silent auction and an awards ceremony.
Last year, we awarded local young leaders, and local leaders acknowledgeing people in our community who are making a difference in conservation. Read about last year’s winners and make your 2026 nominations here.
This year we hope to raise $50,000 and ensure 2027 educational programs continue to thrive in the Central Coast State Parks including:
- Education Program Support: Providing free school field trips, guided hikes, school supplies and supporting volunteer programs to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
Community Engagement: Enhancing local events, intern programs and nature stores to deepen connections between the community and our environment. - Park Maintenance & Signage: Supporting museum exhibit upgrades and maintaining trail signage to improve access and visitor experiences.
- Western Monarch Conservation Programs: Expanding efforts by staffing the Monarch Trailer, maintaining brochures, and creating educational signage to protect the western monarch butterfly. school group field trips, interpretation materials, maintenance and signage, and of course western monarch conservation education programs.
