Sierra Emrick

Locally grown in Los Osos, Sierra attributes her devotion to social and ecological well-being to the incredible people and places that impacted her upbringing. Since graduating with a degree in Environmental Studies, Sierra has worked as an abalone hatchery technician, regenerative agriculturist, Ocean Lifeguard, and Coordinator of a variety of programs including Morro Bay Junior Lifeguards. Her work abroad in Panama and Sri Lanka along with travels to other remote destinations has given Sierra a respect for many styles of meaningful living and a closer connection to what her community means to her. She now hopes to use her variety of work experiences and perspectives to support the communities within and visiting our State Parks. Sierra enjoys deep conversation accompanied by almond milk cappuccinos and will refrain from turning into a sea-squatch as long as she gets a good dose of ocean and mountain time: surfing, swimming, trail running, backpacking, and journaling.
