Emily studies Business Administration with a minor in Psychology at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. As the Events Coordinator Intern, she is excited to gain hands-on experience working for a nonprofit that combines her passion for the outdoors with the opportunity to foster community engagement. Emily grew up in Girl Scouts and attributes her love for nature to the backpacking trips and conservation projects she got to do with her troop. In her position as the Ocean Friendly Restaurants Lead for Cal Poly Surfrider and a Peer Advisor for the Orfalea College of Business, she is able to give back to her college community and help support other students as they navigate their educational experience.
When she’s not in the office, you can usually find Emily at the beach practicing her new favorite hobby: surfing. She volunteers at New Life K9s and Grace Central Coast Church, and is so excited for this opportunity to serve State Parks!
