Jerry was born and raised on a farm in Illinois. He came west with his
parents and sister and lived in Concord (Bay Area). With graduate degrees in Engineering, Biology, Physics and Education, he has taught programs and classes 4th through university graduate level. In 1976-77, he taught a 2-week Field Studies program at Montaña de Oro State Park.
Jerry retired to the Central Coast and lives on the Mesa in Arroyo Grande. He firmly believes education is a lifelong process. Active in many organizations, Jerry volunteers with California State Parks, San Luis Obispo County Animal Services, Arroyo Grande Library, Five Cities Coalition and the Central Coast State Parks Association (to name a few). Jerry looks forward to seeing you in the parks, at the beach and on the trails up and down the Central Coast.
