Lauren first fell in love with the Central Coast after discovering Islay Creek Campground at Montaña de Oro State Park in 2012. The rolling green hills and endless hikes along the coastline brought her back year after year until she finally made the move in 2023.
Lauren Schreiber is a seasoned creative leader, design strategist, and human-centered problem solver with experience building talented multidisciplinary teams and leading strategic initiatives for Fortune 100 companies, non-profits, and Silicon Valley start-ups. She is currently a Senior Director at IDEO – a global innovation firm that creates positive impact through design. In her role, she leads multi-disciplinary design teams to define what’s next and transform client’s organizations to become more human-centered, innovative, and future-fit.
Lauren is thrilled to be playing an active role with CCSPA to advance the organization’s work in protecting and progressing the land we call home. She is moved by the mission to foster a community of environmental stewards and activate our community here in SLO County to fall in love with the state parks just like she did over ten years ago.
