Angelena has lived along the Central Coast her whole life, bouncing between SLO, Arroyo Grande, Oceano, Grover Beach, and Morro Bay. She can’t imagine calling anywhere but the Central Coast her home as the beach, a quick hike, or a tough hike has never been more than 15 minutes away from her doorstep. She sometimes forgets how lucky she is until someone points out how cool it is that she lives less than a mile from the beach or how immersed in nature one can quickly become if the right path is chosen.
“To be honest, I never realized so many of the places I’ve spent hours of my life were actually State Parks. To me, they’ve just been part of my home.” She’s worked the past 13 years for an online retailer before circumstances resulted in her needing to quit her job to watch her youngest son. She has always wanted to work for a company who cared for the environment and was mindful and aware of the impact of their purchases and who they chose as vendors. She feels so lucky and grateful her life had that recent shift and her path was able to cross with CCSPA and the incredible people here. She looks forward to learning more and gaining more insight on this beautiful and special part of the world from them.
Her family is her whole world, and she has so many special memories of her parents, brother, tias, tios, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins visiting, camping and playing all along the Central Coast. She is so excited to make those memories with her two boys and all the new little cousins of the next generation.
