Cheryl Powers

Cheryl Powers, B.S. in Biology, Cornell University. Cheryl earned national recognition for her contributions to science education. She has treasured memories of her forty-four years teaching high school biology, chemistry, and environmental science. In retirement, she is a docent for Central Coast State Parks, giving talks at the Pismo State Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove, leading other nature walks and programs, and volunteering for the annual Xerces monarch counts. Besides butterflies, Cheryl’s other passions involve dogs, marine life, and plants.
